Accept Calls and Get Paid
How Mechanics Earn Money on RQM
Once you accept a car owner's service request on the RQM platform, you’ve officially opened the door to earning money, starting from the very first call.
Step 1: Take the Call
After accepting a client’s request, the car owner will either make an audio or video call directly through the app. Once the call comes in, all you need to do is pick up and consult.
You can guide the car owner on troubleshooting the issue or assess the situation if a physical inspection will be necessary later. Either way, once the conversation starts, the clock starts ticking — and so does your earning.

Step 2: Get Paid by the Minute
RQM runs on a pay-per-minute model. Each minute you spend consulting with a car owner via audio or video call earns you money directly into your RQM wallet.
✅ Example: Let’s say you have a consultation that lasts 60 seconds (1 minute).
The car owner is charged ₦250 per minute.
As a mechanic, you will receive your share per minute right after the call ends.

💡 Important to Know: Revenue Split
While the car owner is charged ₦250/min, RQM takes a platform fee from this amount to cover operational costs, tech maintenance, and support services.
So, for every ₦250 paid by the client:
The mechanic receives a set percentage as wallet credit.
The remaining balance goes to RQM as a service fee.
This model ensures that you continue earning while we provide the technology and customer flow to support your services.
Step 3: Turn Calls into Long-Term Clients
Here’s the beauty of it, every call is a business opportunity.
Even after the initial consultation:
You can arrange physical car repairs or services with the car owner.
You can charge your personal fees for any offline services you render afterward.
Many mechanics use the platform not just to earn via calls but to build repeat customers for larger jobs and contracts.
Always remember to:
Keep your availability set to Active to receive more calls.
Respond quickly to maximize your earning potential.
Make sure your microphone and camera (for video calls) are working properly.
